Recharge your battery with a battery charger designed for your battery. Simply driving your car for any period of time will not fully recharge the battery, nor will just sitting idle with the engine running. Doing this when the battery is weak may even lower the battery capacity and shorten its life.
Charging a flat battery could take up to 48 hours depending on how flat it is. You can purchase a battery charger from our online shop or from one of our Auto Services centres.
We service the Perth metro area, including Rockingham and Mandurah, and all major regional centres throughout WA. You can find our batteries as far north as Kalbarri and down south to Esperance. Our battery warranty is valid Australia-wide. If you’re not an RAC member it’s not a problem, but if you are you’ll save 10%.
For Perth metro locations, we can come to you and replace your battery usually within the hour.^ We offer fast and professional 24/7 service, so no matter when you need us we’ll be there. If it is an emergency roadside breakdown, call us on 13 11 11 and we’ll prioritise help to get you back on the road ASAP.

The life of your car battery and when you need to replace it can vary due to many factors, including:
- Initial construction of the battery
- The climate where your vehicle is used (e.g. extremely hot or extremely cold weather)
- How often you use your vehicle
- How far you drive
- If your vehicle is regularly serviced and maintained
- If your battery is regularly maintained. As part of regular maintenance, we recommend charging your battery periodically with an appropriate battery charger.
