RAC is calling for commitments to projects and initiatives critical for WA.
These will save lives, create thousands of jobs and deliver a safer, sustainable and connected Western Australia.

Safer regional roads
- Ensure the existing Regional Road Safety Program is fully funded and delivered.
- Co-fund a new program applying low-cost safety treatments to over 8,000 kilometres of high speed sealed local government roads in WA.

Safer speeds
- Establish a speed limit signage fund that enables local governments to implement safer speed limits.

Improved active transport
- Direct 10% of the transport capital budget toward the National Active Transport Fund to support substantial mode shift.

Cleaner transport
- Introduce a zero-interest loan scheme for EV purchases.
- Extend the Fringe Benefit Tax exemption for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
- Incorporate key amenities including lighting, CCTV and shelters into all charging stations on the National EV Charging Network.
