RAC Council Election and Annual General Meeting

You are eligible to vote if you have:

• Personal Membership (otherwise known as Roadside Membership);
• Gold Life Membership; or
• Honorary Life Membership.

Other members, including Red Card members (insurance only policy holders), Rewards, free2go, child and youth, fleet and national assistance program are not eligible to vote.

If you are an eligible Voting Member then you will receive the RAC Election supplement and voting instructions by either:

• Email, if you have a valid email address on your membership
  or
• Post, if you do not have a valid email address on your membership

The election supplement contains information about each candidate nominating for Council.

You are only able to vote once, and your vote will be registered anonymously. This is a secret ballot process.

Each year, RAC members who meet the eligibility criteria, may nominate for election to Council. An election will be held where there are more candidates than positions available.

RAC’s eligible voting members can then voluntarily participate in a 'first past the post' election.

The results of the election are announced at RAC’s Annual General Meeting.

During each Council election, eligible members of RAC are encouraged to vote for which candidates they wish to represent them.
